- 1 ½ cups (170g) shredded Mozzarella or Provolone cheese
- ½ tsp (3g) garlic powder
- 1 pack (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp (15ml) honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp (8g) dried parsley or chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until the meat is fully coated.
- Fold in half of the shredded cheese until evenly distributed throughout the chicken mixture.
- Place the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Using a serrated knife, slice the entire block of rolls in half horizontally to create one giant top bun and one giant bottom bun.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly across the bottom half of the rolls, then layer the remaining cheese on top of the chicken.
- Place the top bun slab back on the sliders.
- Whisk together the melted butter, honey, and parsley.
- Brush the butter mixture generously over the top of the rolls, ensuring it reaches the edges.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-17 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the tops are golden-brown.
