Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (450g) shredded cooked chicken
  • ¾ cup (180ml) BBQ sauce
  • 1 ½ cups (170g) shredded Mozzarella or Provolone cheese
  • ½ tsp (3g) garlic powder
  • 1 pack (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp (8g) dried parsley or chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until the meat is fully coated.
  2. Fold in half of the shredded cheese until evenly distributed throughout the chicken mixture.
  3. Place the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. Using a serrated knife, slice the entire block of rolls in half horizontally to create one giant top bun and one giant bottom bun.
  5. Spread the chicken mixture evenly across the bottom half of the rolls, then layer the remaining cheese on top of the chicken.
  6. Place the top bun slab back on the sliders.
  7. Whisk together the melted butter, honey, and parsley.
  8. Brush the butter mixture generously over the top of the rolls, ensuring it reaches the edges.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-17 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the tops are golden-brown.
