Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Bisquick™ Original Pancake & Baking Mix
  • 1 ⅓ cups Whole Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • ⅓ cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your waffle iron to its highest setting to ensure the high-heat searing required for a crisp crust.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the room-temperature egg, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until the emulsion is stable.
  3. Gently fold in the Bisquick mix, sugar, and cinnamon. Stop mixing when just combined to avoid gluten over-development; small lumps are acceptable.
  4. Allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes to let the leavening agents fully hydrate and activate.
  5. Lightly brush the iron plates with oil or non-stick spray.
  6. Pour approximately 1/2 to 2/3 cup of batter into the center of the iron and spread gently toward the edges.
  7. Close the lid and cook until steam stops escaping and the indicator light shows completion, or until the waffle is deep mahogany brown.
  8. Transfer the waffle immediately to a wire cooling rack to prevent steaming and maintain the crisp texture.
