Ingredients:
- 2 cups Bisquick™ Original Pancake & Baking Mix
- 1 ⅓ cups Whole Milk
- 1 large Egg
- ⅓ cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
- ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat your waffle iron to its highest setting to ensure the high-heat searing required for a crisp crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the room-temperature egg, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until the emulsion is stable.
- Gently fold in the Bisquick mix, sugar, and cinnamon. Stop mixing when just combined to avoid gluten over-development; small lumps are acceptable.
- Allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes to let the leavening agents fully hydrate and activate.
- Lightly brush the iron plates with oil or non-stick spray.
- Pour approximately 1/2 to 2/3 cup of batter into the center of the iron and spread gently toward the edges.
- Close the lid and cook until steam stops escaping and the indicator light shows completion, or until the waffle is deep mahogany brown.
- Transfer the waffle immediately to a wire cooling rack to prevent steaming and maintain the crisp texture.
