Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb lean ground beef
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 pack Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 12 slices American or sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup white onion, finely diced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
Instructions:
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder. Cook until fully browned, then drain excess fat.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12x17-inch rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half on the prepared baking sheet.
- Layer a set of cheese slices on the bottom buns, then spread the cooked beef mixture and diced onions evenly across the cheese. Top with the remaining cheese slices and the top half of the rolls.
- Whisk together melted butter, the remaining 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with dried parsley.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the buns are deep golden brown.
