Ingredients:
- 15g black sanding sugar
- 10ml simple syrup or honey
- 60ml premium vodka
- 22ml blue curacao
- 15ml grenadine or blackberry liqueur
- 22ml fresh lemon juice
- 60ml lemon-lime soda
- 1 pinch edible purple luster dust
- 2 fresh blackberries
- 1 sprig fresh mint
Instructions:
- Invert a chilled coupe or martini glass. Dip the rim into a shallow plate of simple syrup, then immediately into the black sanding sugar. Rotate slowly to ensure a thick crust and let set for 60 seconds.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the premium vodka, fresh lemon juice, and edible purple luster dust. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until the shaker tin is frosty.
- Gently layer the shaken vodka and lemon mixture into the glass by pouring it slowly over the back of a bar spoon to prevent the layers from mixing.
- Top the drink with chilled lemon-lime soda and garnish with two fresh blackberries and a sprig of mint.
- Slowly pour the grenadine (or blackberry liqueur) over the back of a spoon into the center of the drink to create the heavy 'anchor' layer.
