Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp (14g) Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp (12g) Dark Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp (4g) Granulated White Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 large Egg Yolk
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt
  • 3 tbsp (24g) All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tbsp (20g) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions:

  1. In an 8-10 oz ceramic mug, melt the butter in the microwave for approximately 20 seconds. Whisk in the brown sugar, white sugar, salt, and vanilla until smooth. Add the egg yolk and whisk vigorously for 30 seconds until the mixture is pale and thick.
  2. Add the all-purpose flour to the mug. Using a fork, gently fold the flour into the wet ingredients until no white streaks remain. Do not over-mix. Fold in 1.5 tablespoons of the chocolate chips.
  3. Top the dough with the remaining chocolate chips. Microwave on high (1000W) for 50 to 60 seconds. The edges should be set while the center remains slightly glossy.
  4. Let the cookie rest undisturbed in the mug for 2 minutes to allow carryover cooking to finish the center.
