Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) granulated white sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) filtered water
- 1/2 cup (120ml) strong brewed coffee
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) sea salt
Instructions:
- Combine the granulated sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir consistently until the sugar dissolves and the liquid becomes clear. Bring to a gentle simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Lower the heat to low and stir in the strong brewed coffee or espresso. Continue to simmer gently for another 5 minutes until the mixture takes on a rich, mahogany-colored hue.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt. Allow the syrup to cool completely before transferring to an airtight glass storage bottle.
