- 16 oz French or Italian bread loaf
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 0.25 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh Italian parsley, chopped
- 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Use a serrated knife to slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, sea salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mash with a fork until an emulsion is formed.
- Slather the compound butter mixture generously over the cut sides of the bread, ensuring coverage to the very edges.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Place halves on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and shattering.
