Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs extra lean ground beef (90/10)
- 1 can (15 oz) Manwich Original Sloppy Joe Sauce
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 large green bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 small yellow onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 6 whole wheat or brioche buns, toasted
Instructions:
- Heat a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat with the avocado oil. Add the ground beef in a flat layer and sear for 3 minutes without stirring to develop a mahogany crust.
- Break the meat into small crumbles and cook until no pink remains. Drain excess rendered fat from the pan.
- Create a well in the center of the meat and add the diced bell peppers, minced onion, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are softened and fragrant.
- Stir in the Manwich Original Sloppy Joe Sauce, smoked paprika, and apple cider vinegar.
- Simmer the mixture uncovered for approximately 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce and thicken until it reaches a rich consistency that clings to the beef.
- Toast the buns and portion the beef mixture equally onto the six buns.
