Ingredients:
- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo Cookies
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant chocolate or vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups whole milk, cold
- 1 container (12 oz) Cool Whip
- 5 oz gummy worms
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions:
- Place the entire package of Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they look like coarse garden soil. Don't over process into a fine powder or it will lose the dirt texture.
- Mix 1/3 of the crumbs with 4 tbsp of melted butter and press into the bottom of your dish.
- Beat 8 oz cream cheese and 1/2 cup softened butter together until the mixture is pale and silky.
- Sift in 1 cup powdered sugar and continue beating until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, combine 3 cups cold milk and both pudding mixes, whisking for 2 minutes until it begins to thicken.
- Gently stir the pudding into the cream cheese base, then fold in the 12 oz of Cool Whip until no white streaks remain.
- Pour the filling over the cookie base and smooth it out with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the remaining cookie crumbs over the top until the filling is completely hidden.
- Press the gummy worms into the dirt and refrigerate until the center doesn't jiggle when shaken.
- Add mint sprigs right before serving to keep them looking vibrant and fresh.
