Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork sausage
- 2 cups Bisquick mix
- 4 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 10 oz sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley or rosemary
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and ground pork sausage. Blend thoroughly using hands or a stand mixer until no white streaks of cream cheese remain, creating a fat-barrier coating for the meat.
- Add the Bisquick mix, freshly grated sharp cheddar, garlic powder, and dried herbs to the sausage mixture.
- Knead the ingredients together until a cohesive, slightly tacky dough forms. If the mixture appears too crumbly, integrate 1 tablespoon of milk to hydrate the starch.
- Using a 1-tablespoon cookie scoop, portion the dough and roll into uniform balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes or until the exterior is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
