Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp (12g) granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp (45ml) whole milk
- 1 tbsp (14g) melted butter
- 1 tbsp (12g) brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tbsp (7g) softened butter
- 3 tbsp (25g) powdered sugar
- 2 tsp milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Whisk the flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder in a small bowl until no lumps remain.
- Pour in the 3 tablespoons of milk and 1 tablespoon of melted butter.
- Stir the mixture with a fork until a soft, tacky dough forms. If it feels too dry, add milk one teaspoon at a time.
- Dust a small piece of parchment paper with flour and pat the dough into a long, thin rectangle.
- Spread the softened butter over the dough, reaching all the way to the edges. The butter should feel like room temp cream.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the buttered surface.
- Roll the dough strip tightly starting from the short end to create a cylinder.
- Place the roll into your mug and add 1/2 teaspoon of water to the bottom of the mug (not on the dough).
- Microwave on high for 50–70 seconds until the top looks dry and the center is puffed.
- Whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together and pour it over the roll while it is still steaming.
