Ingredients:

  • 4 sleeves (16 oz) Saltine Crackers
  • 1 cup (235ml) Canola oil
  • 1 packet (28g) Hidden Valley Ranch Dry Seasoning Mix
  • 2.5 tbsp (12.5g) Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp (3g) Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp (1.5g) Onion powder
  • 0.25 tsp (0.5g) Cayenne pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F. Note: Low heat is vital to toast the crackers without burning the delicate dried herbs in the ranch mix.
  2. Pour 1 cup Canola oil into a small whisking bowl.
  3. Add 1 packet (28g) Hidden Valley Ranch Dry Seasoning Mix to the oil.
  4. Stir in 2.5 tbsp Crushed red pepper flakes. Note: This creates a bold, spicy base that will coat all 4 sleeves.
  5. Whisk in 1 tsp Garlic powder, 0.5 tsp Onion powder, and 0.25 tsp Cayenne pepper until the mixture is a slurry.
  6. Place 4 sleeves (16 oz) Saltine Crackers into a very large bowl or heavy duty plastic bag.
  7. Drizzle the spicy oil mixture over the crackers slowly.
  8. Gently toss or tumble the crackers until every surface is glistening and speckled with flakes.
  9. Spread the crackers onto a large baking sheet in a single, even layer.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes until the crackers look dry and smell intensely savory.
