Instructions:

  3. Bring the mixture to a light simmer (avoid a rolling boil), stirring occasionally for 12 minutes until the liquid transforms from cloudy to a clear, shimmering consistency.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat immediately and stir in the vanilla and almond extracts to preserve aromatic oils.
  5. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature before pouring it into a glass storage jar with an airtight lid.
