  • 0.5 cup (60g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 21 oz (600g) apple pie filling
  • 0.5 tsp (2.5ml) ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (240ml) whipped topping, thawed
  • 0.25 cup (60ml) salted caramel sauce

Instructions:

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar in a bowl until the mixture looks like wet sand.
  2. Pour the mixture into a 9x9 inch baking pan and press firmly into the bottom and slightly up the sides.
  3. Place the pan in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to set.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. In a separate chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  7. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula until no streaks remain.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
  9. Pour the apple pie filling (mixed with cinnamon if using plain filling) over the cream cheese layer and smooth the top with an offset spatula.
  10. Spread the whipped topping over the apples in a smooth layer.
  11. Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the top in a zigzag pattern.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) until the edges are firm to the touch.
